$80 flat, anywhere inside the 40-mile road radius, for any of the nine appliance classes.
Credited
Credited in full against the repair when you approve the work. If you decide not to proceed, the fee stands on its own and you keep the written diagnosis.
Estimate
A written estimate comes before any part is ordered or fitted. No part is ordered on a verbal approval.
Parts
Genuine OEM parts, ordered through the same BSH distribution channel that serves Thermador, Bosch and Gaggenau.
Warranty
90 days labour, 365 days parts, genuine OEM components. Full terms
Out of hours
No premium, because there is no out-of-hours service. Mon–Fri 8am–6pm · Sat 9am–4pm.

What does a repair actually come to?
Between $80 and $2,420, depending which component is at fault. Before the appliance is opened a band is the honest answer; a single number is a guess in a quote's clothing.

When is a repair no longer worth it?
A comparable Thermador wall oven, rangetop or column, appliance only — before delivery, installation or cabinetry. National appliance pricing, not Florida labour.

The reasoning
Why a band and not a price list
A built-in kitchen does not price like a boxed appliance. The same symptom on a Thermador steam oven can be a generator that no longer reaches temperature, a level sensor reporting incorrectly, or a fill valve that has stopped passing water. Those are three different jobs and one of them is mostly labour.
Publishing a single figure for "steam oven repair" would mean either overcharging the easy case or underquoting the hard one and then revising it on the day. A band says what work of that kind has come to and leaves the arithmetic visible; the firm number follows the diagnosis, in writing, and you decide from there. What we work on
Questions about the fee
What does the $80 diagnostic cover?
A technician attends, tests the appliance, and identifies the fault. The fee is flat regardless of which of the nine appliance classes it is and regardless of where inside the service radius you are. It is credited in full against the repair when you approve the work.
Is the diagnostic fee charged again on a return visit?
No. When a part has to be ordered, the fitting visit is part of the same job and carries no second diagnostic fee.
Why is every repair price a range rather than one number?
Because a single published figure would be a guess. The same symptom on the same appliance class can be a sensor, a valve or a board, and those are not comparable jobs. The table above is what work of each kind has actually come to; the figure for your own appliance is written down after the diagnosis and before anything is ordered.
Is there an after-hours or weekend premium?
There is no premium because there is no after-hours service. We work Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm, by appointment, and we do not operate an emergency line.
Do you charge for mileage inside the service area?
No. The diagnostic fee is the same anywhere inside 40 road miles of Fruit Cove. Beyond that we do not attend at all rather than adding a travel charge.
An independent price, not a manufacturer's
Meridian Appliance Works is an independent service company. We name Thermador only to say which appliances we work on: built-in equipment from Thermador and the rest of the BSH Home Appliances line, diagnosed and repaired by our own technicians using genuine OEM parts.
